Apres moi, le deluge, Apres le deluge, le grill

Yesterday it appeared as though the week-plus of constant dreary rain that this corner of the world had been suffering through was finally over. Being an occasionally cynical New Englander, though, I didn't get my hopes too far up.

Today, I actually believed it. Bright, sunny, warm and dry. In celebration, I broke out the charcoal and fired up the grill for the first time this season.

Of course, rain is forecast for early tomorrow morning; but that storm is predicted to behave normally, moving from west to east and getting out of here in a day or so. The disastrous floods in northeastern Massachusetts were caused by a storm that just sat off Cape Cod for a week.
