Regarding Gov. Palin's speech last night

I honestly don't know if Sarah Palin would have given a similar speech if she'd been allowed to write it (instead of it having been written before she even became the VP pick), but I'm not sure it matters. She did a splendid job of delivering that well-written, snide, nasty, dishonest and deceitful speech. As far as I'm concerned, she now owns those words. And as far as I'm concerned, she's proven herself to be a liar.

Alaska's welcome to her. Just don't let her anywhere near the Naval Observatory. Or the White House.

In better news, tonight's the first night of choir practice for this church year. Spending time with honest and caring folks is a lot better than watching the Republican Baseathon.
